How do you get into diagnostics on a 2015 CVO Road Glide?

I know I've read it on here. It's through the infotainment system.

Rather than try to remember and maybe mislead you, I'm going to suggest you pull out the manual and look for the instructions.  They are in there somewhere.

try this:

Can someone double check me to make sure this is correct?

Harley Diagnostic Codes

To access codes

1- Turn Ignition switch to OFF & Run/Stop switch is to Run.

2- Push odometer reset button in & hold.

3- Turn ignition switch to Ignition and release odometer reset button. Background lighting sould illuminate, speedometer needle should sweep its full range and indicator lamps (battery, security, low fuel, check engine and cruise) should illuminate. The word “diag” should then appear.

4 - Push the odometer reset button once and you will see the selection menu "PSSPt" (on mine the “t” looks more like a “╘” )with the first P flashing.

5 - Each letter represents an area of the diagnostics module. The module that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter (module) to the next, you push the odometer reset button one time. (from P to S to SP to t and back to P, etc.)
P = ECM/ICM (Electronic Control Module [EFI] / Ignition Control Module [Carbureted])
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
SP = speedometer
T = tachometer

To get the DTC within an area of diagnostics, push and hold the odometer reset button in for 5 seconds and release. If there are any DTC’s the code will be displayed or the word “none” will appear if there are no DTC’s. Push the odometer reset button again to view additional codes if they exist.

1 - Record the codes.

2 - If DTC’s are not to be cleared, Press and release the odometer reset button. Part number of module will be displayed.
NOTE: To determine if a code is current or historic, clear the displayed code by pushing in and holding the odometer reset button ( longer than 5 seconds) until 'clear' comes up. Release the odometer reset button. Turn OFF the ignition switch. Run your bike and shut it down then recheck the DTC’s again by repeating steps 1 to 3 If the code is current it will reappear.

4 – Press and release the odometer reset button to continue to the next module.

5 – Turn Ignition switch to OFF.

On models not equipped with a tachometer "No Rsp" will appear when the tachometer identifier is selected.

"No Rsp" will also appear if the run/off switch is in the off position when doing this procedure.

The difference between that old list of instructions and what applies to the Rushed More models involves the changes in how you actually turn the ignition on, and the location of the odometer reset button, AND the list of different subsystems. The new bikes have a BCM as well as the other items listed in the old instructions.  I don't think it's asking too much for people to read the manual btw.  Several elves worked their fingers to the bone writing those things, only to have their work ignored by the majority of people who buy things that come with manuals.  I refuse to answer my wife's questions about the gadgets she buys before she reads the manual.

Here's a link to another thread that asked the same question some time ago:

Come on Jerry... you know in this instantaneous world we live in no one wants to read manuals... nor use the search feature. ;) ;D :D

I'm like you... feel somebody took the time to write it and in one way or the other we are paying for it so why not get your money's worth and read it. :2vrolijk_21:

FWIW, I scoured both the touring manual, and the CVO Road Glide supplement manual and found NO MENTION of the procedure. Before you begin your enlightened diatribe maybe you should consider other possiblities, like HD doesn't provide the info in the manuals since shops are required to have a digital scanner.
For those that attempted to answer without additional comment thank you.

motor1, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but if you go back and read my first post I think you will find I was being courteous and just offering advice to look in the manuals, versus trying to remember exactly what the procedure says.  I guess I could have winged it, or offered up the old list that applied to older bikes, but since the info is in the manuals it was a perfect opportunity to also make an editorial comment.  Way too often around here people get lazy and rather than read the simple instructions in the manual they just post questions here.  I don't mind answering them, and do quite often.  Many others offer answers and assistance as well.  I still figure it's not a bad idea to suggest people refer to the manuals.  If they don't want to, or don't know how to find it in the manuals, usually someone will eventually answer the question but not always.

Anyway, in case you missed my second post or stopped reading after I made my editorial comment, I've attached the scan of the page in the manual that was in that other thread I mentioned.  Feel free to print it out for future reference.

In anticipation of the next question, I've done some digging and come up with a list of all H-D diagnostic trouble codes (as best I can tell) from 2004 to 2014 model years.  I assume 2015 remained the same, since there were no significant changes to the bikes.

Click on the attached pdf to open.  Verification from others would be welcome, since I don't own a 2014/2015 manual to verify changes made since 2010.

You're welcome motor1.  I'm sorry I originally came across as a bit short.  My wife tells me I do it to her all the time, but I usually try to be nicer out in public. ;)

I also found the instructions for accessing the DTC's with the Boom Box infotainment system.  I don't know, since I don't own one of these bikes, if that info is in the Boom Box manual or not.  Click on the pdf below, give it a try and see what happens.

 So, I checked for codes and got P1691. I looked thru all my books, and PDFs on this site. I called my dealer, and believe it, or not, they said they don't know what that code is. So, do any of you know what this code is?
Thanks in advance,
William
