So I live in Oregon (helmet state) and the other night on my way home from work I pulled my helmet off to get a good listen to the bike while it was under acceleration. I was on a back road where the chances of catching a ticket were slim to none. The sounds I heard could be described as horrifying, I have had a 2k6 heritage with a 88" revo motor and a 2k7 streetglide with the same 88" revo motor, both while I lived in Texas (freedom state) and I never heard any of the noises on both of those skoots. I have checked all of the heat shields. They are stock and tight. The front motor mount looks like the rubber shock rings need replacing, so I had the wife come out and rev it for me to about 1500-2000 rpms and it sounds like it is coming from the top end above the push rods. I am hoping and praying that it is not the heads, but nevertheless it was purchased used in March and I have only put 1000 miles on it since then. Any and all responses to this matter will be greatly appreciated!!!
