Guys-
Bushtec wants $12.50 a piece for their bearings and as you know it takes 2 per wheel.  Has anybody out there found quality replacement bearings from another source for a more reasonable price, or is $25 a wheel a fair price?
If so, where'd you get them and what was the part number for the bearing?
Thanks!

If they're 6203 bearings, ANY place that carries bearings will have them.
I see you can get them 10 for $20 on Amazon, buy 10 and carry spares.

Always carry 4 spares since I found bad bearings after a trip. They are actually mower deck pulley bearings so your right on very common.

RGlideKid, here are the specs for the Bushtec bearings:

Bearings are 15.875mm ID X 40mm OD X12mm single row sealed ball bearings.

That is the same info I got from Andrew Preston several years ago and he cautioned me that the NTN bearings come in different ID sizes and the 17mm is more common.  He said the 17mm will not correctly fit the axle shaft.

Many cross reference lists will give you the 6203 bearing but it is the 17mm.

Thanks, all!  Big help and now I'll go looking.  I thought $12.50 apiece was a little steep.
Appreciate the help!

Ultrafxr is correct. 17mm is not the right I'd so be carefull, when I first started searching for them autozone sold me what they said was like kind. Wrong turned out they were 17mm id.

The conversion for the bearing is .625 id x 1.574 od x .473 which is the bearing I listed for you. I installed them in 6 wheels in the last 6 months no problems what so ever.

In case anyone needs some of these bearings, I went to Amazon, then on the off chance I went directly to JSB Bearings and bought 10 of them for $15.00 delivered, which I think is a really nice price!

Great information for Bushtec owners!  Thank you to all who contributed...   :2vrolijk_21:

I have close to 30K on my Bushtec.  Bearings are still fine, but it's probably about time for some preventative maintenance.  For $15.00 it's a no brainer...
