I ordered a 10' x 10' area of Race Deck Diamond Pattern garage flooring and below you can see the finished product. I used 3 different colors, black, orange, and graphite (which is hard to see in the pic). I wasn't going to spring for this stuff, as this type of snap together flooring can be expensive...about $400 for this floor counting the ramp edges, but the advantages as I see it are as follows:
1) you can remove and replace a piece pretty easily if one is damaged
2) you can slide the floor around or even change the pattern up later on if you get tired of the current pattern
3) its QUICK to put down! About 90 minutes for this floor, and that was with doing some other fiddling around with a refreshment or two. Therefore, IT'S EASY ON YOUR BACK!!!
4) it's very tough stuff yet it's lightweight. They say a tile will support 80,000 lbs and there doesn't seem to be a problem with a kickstand, but I'm still going to use my plastic Harley kickstand support anyway.
I bought these tiles from
http://www.elitegaragefloors.com but I couldn't talk them into a discount. If you order more than 15 tiles, shipping is free and there was no tax either so I'm not complaining.
Advice: lay out your pattern on a spreadsheet (or some other simple software program) that reflects the color patterns you want, then count up the number of tiles you'll need. Google garage floor patterns/designs and that will help a little also. The other nice thing about where I bought them, you can order any quantity you need...you don't have to order in boxes of 20 or 40 each. Also, order a piece or two extra of each color (including the ramp edge pieces) while the shipping is free. That way if you ever ruin a piece, you have a replacement.Gimme a PM if you have questions!
