passenger seat height
« on: July 12, 2015, 11:08:02 PM »

ok here we go...  The wife is complaining that she cant see anything but the back of my head while riding. what seats are out there that raise the passenger higher? i have the stock heated seat on an 06 cvo. it looks to raise about 5-6 inches but she needs another 4-6 to cleanly see over my head. next thing will be she has too much wind in her face....  cant live with em cant live without em..  er..   can but wont..  lol

Wow to get her 4-6 inches higher may be hard to do on a touring seat. Sounds like you would need a seat like the old 1960s choppers (king and queen seat.)
Maybe she needs to look on each side of your head instead of over? I know at one time they taught couples that if the passenger looked over the shoulder on the side of the turn it would train the couple to work as a team in cornering.

Silly question but, how gosh dang tall are you that she feels the need for a seating position 4-6 inches taller than what came on the bike???

My wife is 5'1" and I'm 5'9" and there's never been any mention of her limited sight lines while on the passenger pillion. My wife uses a Gel seat pad that adds about 3/4" to the passenger seat height but she uses that for comfort, not to raise the seating position

Passenger being that high would be rough in strong wind.

im 5'10" and shes 5'4". the problem is she sees our friends who are the same height being able to see over the driers head so she thinks she needs to as well...  i just need to get her on her own bike and not worry about it.  lol

Our signature seat raises passengers a good 4 - 6 inches above rider position.

"The Ball & Chain" prefers to sit at the "standard" height behind me, I'm 6'4" blocks the wind and more importantly the rain, she doesn't get wet until we stop...
