Did anyone try this?
« on: July 15, 2015, 07:53:13 PM »

Did anyone try to hook up a 30 pin bluetooth adapter in the saddlebag setup in place of the the little nano? I want to know if your able to use the handlebar controls to change songs? There's a bunch of different models out there and was hoping not to have to open the saddlebag to turn it on and off. I'll be using my I-phone6 to play music and navigate. Thanks for any thoughts or opinions

I'm sure someone tried this before but do to lack of response to this post I thought I'd give it a try. I just ordered one off of amazon based on some info I found on another website. I'll let everyone know how it all works out.

Ok...Here's the latest, The $80 bluetooth I ordered came from Amazon today. I plugged it in to an old IPhone charger for an hour and went out in the garage to see if this thing would work with all my handlebar controls. It linked right up with my IPhone6 as soon as i turned on my ignition so I was starting to get excited till I switched the mode to IPod and it only played for a second with the display saying IPod not connected. It then went to radio mode. I tried a bunch of combinations to try to make it work but it always ended with the same result. The bluetooth unit I bought was called tune2air. So it looks like I'm back to the drawing board unless someone could enlighten me :confused5: I guess my next step would be to buy a gps that I can load music in for my trip I'm planning next year.

I have a Nano 6th Gen on my bike, I had the radio with an Ipod cable installed from Iron Cross Audio, ran a cable along the wiring harness, under the gas tank, it wasn't long enough, hooked a second cable to where the battery is went from there to the right saddlebag, works great.
