It's a very common product on this side of the pond.  If you can't find let me know.  Score some here and I'll mail over.

Well appreciated Twolaneride :2vrolijk_21: I'll be checking it out today is what I come up with
Thanks for the offer

Washing my bike this morning I looked at this. I really can't fathom how the hell she's doing this, unless

A: She's spurrin' the bike.

B: She has really short legs and can't reach the boards so her feet swing.

Get her some bike friendly boots....and forget the fashion statement.  Rubber soles and no zipper or metal of any kind on the inside of boot.

My wife doesn't hit the side panel but she always gets the exhaust. She doesn't know how but she always hit it. Luckily I can clean that up with some good elbow grease.  As you said earlier I don't understand how she doesn't know she is doing it even after I ask.  Oh well I sure as hell can put up with this because she puts up with me! :)

Motorcycle Armor sells just what you need! I had the same problem but not as bad. They have a great product. Also they will replace if the film goes bad at no cost to you.

Thanks for all the input and help  :2vrolijk_21:this is just a small part that makes this such a great site riders helping out a fellow rider when they can my be were they are.

I couldn't find the 3M but I got something of the same. I was told it works just as good as 3m, don't know because I can't compare it.
It's called G3 the fella did it no charge then and there. It cleaned up good but there is a few little marks that will have to be touched up. "Still can't get my head around it"
I'll go to Warr's HD tomorrow and see about some touch up "I'm not going to hold my breath on though"

Go with the film as recommended.  Last night my wife installed the motorcycle armor on my saddlebag lids, looks great.  Will protect them as well.

Protective film for sure but you have to ask what kind of footwear does she use that causes that. I have never seen that much damage even on ten year old bikes. She also could be asked to respect the equipment and be careful. I remember telling mu daughter that she was not allowed to kick the saddlebags while getting on and off. Knot knowing how it happens or saying I can't help it is not good enough.

Check her for spurs. :huepfenjump3: Maybe you can find some plain black ones for cheap and save the good ones. And the black ones won't stand out like some other cover.  .02 :drink:

After it cures it's like a mirror absorbing the colour into the scratch

                         Cured and cleaned
