2015 FLHXSE HP/Torque
« on: August 05, 2015, 02:21:26 PM »

Good afternoon, I had my 2015 FLHXSE 110 upgraded from a V & H Fuelpack to the SE Race Tuner yesterday and a dyno done.

I have V & H Power Duals with High Output Mufflers.

I was a little disappointed by the numbers - 91.6 HP/105 TQ.

Has anybody else done similar mods and what did you see? Any advice on what might wake this up to maybe 105 HP/115-120 TQ? I don't want to spend over $5,000 on it, but up to that for the right HP/TQ is ok.

Thanks!

cam and a little more compression....proper cam choice will depend on riding style.
Best to talk to qualified builders/tuners like Steve at GMR or Scott at Hillside.  If you're close to any of them then consider bringing your bike to them and discuss your budget

Since you're in Arkansas and GMR is in Keller, TX (just north of Ft Worth), contact Steve gmrperf@gmail.com and tell him what you want and he'll get it done!!

I did all the work myself (except the dyno tune).

Very happy with the results.

Those mufflers tend to leave some power on the table and will move the tq curve to the right. Here is just one of many examples of that ex system you have and a cam tuned not stating you need to replace mufflers.

The curve as you can see is not from the cam as the one sheet has both the 255 and our cam . Its just the mufflers.  those numbers are right where they should be for the stock engine and that set up. Look at the curve even with those mufflers and the 577.

This is a random sheet. In fact this was not the highest power maker in the bunch with that set up.  Find a shop that tunes you will be better off in the long run..

Now swap the muffler for something that work better and you will have a curve like this.

Here is Roys build  from LA this is your ex system stock heads stock t/b and our 600 cam with out 113 bolt on kit. much less than 5g for that kit. Provides one heck of a tq curve as well

I have a 2015 Limited CVO with a 110. I gutted the cat (used the stock head pipes minus the cat), installed Rinehart 4"ers, popped a TTS tuner and had it dynode. Got 100hp and 126Ft lbs torque. It's like a different bike now.....

Could you please post that dyno sheet.. As out of the hundreds of CVO bikes we have tune not one has made any where near those tq numbers.. Was a piston kit or cam added to that build?

I will scan the dyno sheet in when I get home. Stock pistons and cams. Jason at 1 Forty 1 Cycles in Winchester did the tuning and I was right there with him. I am sitting here looking at the sheet now. I peak out at 100hp at 4800 rpm. I hit the 126 ft lbs of torque at 3500 rpm's.

Those are great numbers..... if they are right. No 110 I have seen can make those numbers with what changes you made.  Head work yes, cams yes. Stock, that's one unusual 110 and your a lucky guy to own it.

Maybe uncorrected? My 15 CVO SG with a Fullsac DX head pipe, 4" Rineharts and tuned with a direct link tuner produced 94/111.

I scanned it and attempted to add the pdf but it would not allow me. Tried to do a copy and paste and that didn't work. then tried a powerpoint which didn't work either. Any suggestions?
