Feedback on TTS 100 cam?
« on: August 09, 2015, 08:40:24 AM »

Im considering these. I have some light headwork and a .030 gasket already installed on the bike and have been using the stock 255 cam re-degreed, but am looking for more tq down low.

Ive read the few threads out there but looking for some updated feedback and reviews.

I have installed a couple sets of these in customers bikes and the results are impressive. They hit hard right away and carry out till about 4500 rpm....

They were designed as a bolt in cam so not sure how they would behave with added compression and headwork. Best bet would be to post that question up to Steve in the TTS sub forum as he cannot respond anywhere else on the board....

Thanks Jim, I did just that.

Once I get an answer from Steve, I'll post it over here for the benefit of everyone else who wants to know the answer.

While I await the headwork answer, does anyone else have an updated report on how they like these cams? What little reviews I did find were all extremely positive, except for one on this board.

I put one in my sons 13 FLHTKSE- 117TQ and 98HP, and he loves it- Smoother and quicker than stock, he reports slight tic in front exhaust lifter, but not bad enough to bring it back to let me try readjusting the pushrod depth :)

Hawgzilla,

Here is the sheet.   My only concern with the sheet is that it is not in full page, and because of that the curve of the sheet does happen to change when you shrink it and put it in multiple windows like this.   Maybe the original poster has a full page of the same dynograph vs. the smaller windowed view.

Comparison done in small window vs. full page.   Smaller window, causes the curve to look flatter.  Full screen where you have a little better indication of the curve and how it changes

You could plot the numbers and I am not saying anything negative about the cam or the run.   My comment is towards the presentation which can be a bit deceiving unless you plot all the numbers.

small window

Thank you for posting the sheet.  The presentation is no factor to me but I would like to see the run conditions.  These numbers seem very suspect to me.  I hope that the numbers are real but they seem unobtainable with such a small cam.  The run conditions may spread a little light on the results.

Hawgzilla,

There were no run conditions included with the post on HTT.  Sorry.
