Spent the weekend in Lincolnshire with a club I am a member of. 15 bikes in total, 5 of which were CVOs. Not a bad ratio.

Visited the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and then stayed in the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa which was where Guy Gibson and the other officers from 617 "Dambusters" Squadron based themselves in 1943. The hotel is full of memorabilia and you can even have breakfast in the former officers mess.

On Sunday we were given access to RAF Scampton where the squadron were based. It is now used as a base by the famous Red Arrows RAF display team.

Thanks. Unfortunately it is not air worthy but does undertake taxi runs apparently. The one that is still flying is based in RAF Coningsby down the road from the museum.
