Missouri tuner
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:52:28 AM »

I am in central Missouri and am looking for a solid tune for my streetglide special.  I've read positive online reviews for Doc's HD and for CNS Speedshop in the St Louis area.  I also came across an old (2007 post) recommendation on here for Rolling Thunder Dyno in Joplin, but I can not find anything recent on that business.
Let me know who I should contact- and who I should avoid.  Thanks.

Rolling Thunder in Joplin is no more.  John retired a few years ago.  If you're in central or north central Missouri go to Gail's HD in south Kansas City.  The guy there is very very good.

Robin at Gail's HD is an exceptional tuner.  He had a little accident about a month ago and broke his leg.  He should be healed up in about a month.  Does a great job, can use almost any tuning module, but prefers TTS or SERT.

I've been to Gail's several times and never noticed that they had a dyno.

It's there.  Robin is very good.  He also works with multiple platforms.  So the SERT variants or the Power Commanders or others are fair game.

They are the closest dealer to me. Did they tune for you?  What do you mean by "specialized tuning?"

Lebanon and Kansas City are close enough to similar distances from me that distance would be no difference in the choice.  At least here I and anyone I know would do Robin at Gail's in KC without giving it a second thought when choosing between the two for tuning services.

Just an update for anyone who might be looking for a tuner in the central US.  I decided to see Jason as C&S Speed Shop in St. Louis. I took a 40 minute ride in the rain and I'm really happy with the results.  I'll get a nice long ride in tomorrow.
If you are looking for a tuner in this area, I recommend you check out the C&S Speed Shop.
