I installed one mount on the bike. When I installed the footboard on the mount there is no pressure pushing up from the spring and ball to hold the footboard in place? The spring is approximately 1/2" in length. Is it possible the spring or ball is not up to spec or the mounts have an issue, maybe the footboard? The ball and spring when installed on both mounts just rises above the lip of the mount to seat into the footboard. When the footboard is in the down position the ball does not make contact with the footboard. Up or down the footboards are very loose. I double checked part numbers, everything I ordered is correct to fit on my 15 CVO SG.

Anybody see anything in the pictures below or have an idea why I'm having an issue with this?

Spring part # 51501-07
Ball # 8861
Mounts are Chrome # 53070-00A

Finally an answer. If you use this mount you need to use HD spring part # 33085-74 which is a longer spring not the one listed above, 51507-07. That spring is used if you purchase the adjustable mounts like those found on a 15 CVO RG or CVO Ultra.
