Jock-After a relatively mild winter, it has finally got cold.

Gettinold-The lug nuts came off fine.  Sometimes we do have to heat them up if our 1"  Ingersol Rand won't loosen them.

Ultrapole-The driver told my wife when paying the bill there was about 15 bikes in the trailer after he left.

I think this is the hauler for HD as they are based out of Milwaukee.  One thing I thought was odd is that all the bikes picked up go to Milwaukee and then reloaded in other trucks to their destination.

If you need a bike shipped, ask for this unit as you know it will at least stop.   :)

Used to be H-D had a fleet of trucks all painted up Orange and Black. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but what I see come into San Diego H-D are unmarked boxes with independant drivers. Looks to me as though they're biddin it out to the lowest price. SD H-D had one load with about 12 bikes messed up from the way they were stacked in the trailer. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Must be why my dealer's so willing to drop the shippin charge off the bottom line. Breaks my heart to think that LD traveled all the way to California from Pennsylvania in a low budget truck  :(  No wonder it took a few weeks for the bike to respond to my TLC. Poor thing was damn near heart broke.

They come in various shipper and freight line trucks out here, too.  Rarely do I see an HD truck on the road.........not like it used to be.

Big Dog out in Wichita uses carriers like that one.  Those trailers are pretty neat.  I helped a driver put his personal 2005 FLHTCUSE on the second floor.  Nice to be able to carry your personal bike around the country with you and ride it when you stop!

FYI
Harley didn't make a 2005 FLHTCUSE.
Had to be a 06 or 07 :nixweiss:
