choice for new exhaust .... !
« on: August 31, 2015, 05:13:25 PM »

Hi guys !
My new cvo deluxe in black cristal and dark tungsten is coming ... ! and I wonder what is the best choice for a new exhaust. I hesitate a lot bitween 3 fundamental types mixing style and performance from Vance & Hines
1 : true duals wtih fishtails tips ( my first choice but ...)
2 : long shots (possibly great but too long ?)
3 : or big shots staggered....

cruel dilemna no ?
I would like to know which ones are louder and ones with less sound and at the end the best choice ...

Thank you bu advance for your advices !

I've been researching this for months……this was my shortlist...

1: Big Radius - great looking modern design but takes away the old school look
2: Long shots - nice pipes but too long going up steep driveways, reverse parking etc.
3: Big shots staggered - these are my choice….line length suits the Deluxe and deep sound.

I'm getting them installed next week.  :2vrolijk_21:

I have had the big shot longs on my fatboy for 12 years with no real issues other than dragging the back of the pipe one in a while.  But heck the floorboards drag too.

I had Long Shots on a '07 King I had.........I love loud, but these were obnoxious. Run gutted SE pipes w/fullsac baffles in both scoots now. Power & sound........one's no good without the other!!!!

I have been a big fan of Staggered Duals on my Shovelheads, I had a Super Trap on my 89 FXRS. I wanted pipes like nobody else has. I had my S.S. stepped two into one collector pipe. Has a Fantastic sound.
