A little mod to the windscreen
« on: September 01, 2015, 09:01:33 AM »

I have dash bags and I didn't particularly  like the look of then thru the screen. So I went and got some glass tint and did this.

IMHO:  would have followed the line of the windshield

but for the purpose you want it's  :2vrolijk_21:

I like how it camouflages the bags, nice.

I was thinking to do that, but I didn't know if it would be to much and if it would be hard to see direct in front because it is a high screen 12"

Have never like the look of the bags, but damn they are handy!! GOOD job.

I like the look of the bags from  inside, but I agree, I don't from the outside. The tint took the roughness off

I like how it camouflages the bags, nice.

That's what I was hoping it would do. I like the bags there handy. I put my phone  camera and fob in them(I carry a little slim camera in addition to the phone cam)

Thanks phato1, To tell the truth it took two goes to git it right. The first try I had a lot of little air pockets it would stick to fast in order to get it just were I wanted it. When spraying the screen  because of the curve of it the water  would run to the centre (not wet enough). The second time I submerged the hole thing in water, then I could move it about, once it was in place I lifted it out pushed  out the remaining water to bond it "job done"    :)

I would have cut the top curve of windshield into tint first before installing. OR done away with the bags, I never carried for the look.
But if you like it, that is ALL that matters.

Looks or not, the three windshield bags are darn convenient.  I think you've done a nice job of camouflaging them...   :2vrolijk_21:

I have a tinted windshield and while it does hide the dash bags it is very hard to see the road in front of you at night, especially when there are no streetlights.

I like the suggestion of cutting the tint to follow the top curve and the moving the tint down to cover the bags and show a matching curved line. Just  my own OCD.

That was my thought. Were it is works for me. The clear part is just enough to see directly down in front of the wheel
