check engine light

 :confused5:Check engine on code P1654 ????? something about high tach ??? anyone ever fixed this problem???? I checked for bent pins everywhere

Tach issue. Wire plugs into the ecm. Are you using a piggyback tuner? Start there, could be a bent pin in the connector or a wire fretting.

You had another thread running on this same thing a few months ago if I remember correctly.  Did you ever actually check the resistance of the circuit from the ECM to the tach?  Just eyeballing the pins and sockets in the connectors isn't good enough, fretting can cause damage you are unlikely to see with a cursory inspection without removing the terminals from the connector and using magnification.

You know which circuit is involved, so if you aren't into tracing circuits and inspecting pins and sockets, just have all the pins and sockets for that circuit replaced, including the ones in the Power Commander connectors.

I noticed my cruise control won't engage.. think this could be related?? It urns on but won't engage
