Jesse,
We have owned 3 over the years and I will tell you I would never buy another one. Would I rent one yes but to own one and keep up with the maintenance and breakdowns no way. No matter how much you invest in a motorhome it will breakdown at some point. In my case our last one went through two transmissions in 3 years, it was a gas motor powered coach. I could live with the trannies but then on year four spun a main bearing lost the motor. After spending $5,700.00 we got it back and sold it. I have a bunch of friends that own them, there are at l3st 20 of them and they travel all over the country. What is weird they pretty much don't ride their Harley's anymore. By all means, rent before taking the plunge and remember if you buy one you need to store it somewhere when not in use. If outdoors, the weather can be brutal on them.
Here is our last one on the inside. All remodeled by me and my wife. I cut and beveled the glass too.
