My brother and I went to the Hot Springs rally also and the weather was almost perfect! One thing I did notice was that there seemed to be way more people and bikes there this year than I have seen in a long time. Did you notice that? The economy being in a slump the last 8 years seemed to have taken a toll on rally attendance, but it seemed to be back up like it was 10-12 years ago. I hope it continues to grow.

I talked with one of the volunteers at the convention center where you register, and he said they had over a 1,000 bikes register on thursday alone in just 4 hours.  This was the 10th anniversary of the rally, and that all-bike rally has ALWAYS had better bands than the HOG rally ever had.  This guy had heard that over 3,000 bikes had pre-registered, and that usually that amount doubles for late registers.  That's pretty respectable for a town of 25,000 people.  Glad you guys had a good time!

Yes, and I figure that many people don't pre-register or even register for the full rally, but a lot of people just ride up for the day on Friday or Saturday. So I bet there were many more riders in Hot Springs during the rally than they have record of.
