Dave, So it looks like I want to order part #'s 5610097A, 56100096 and 5610094 to outfit my 2015 FLHXSE with the Air Flow heated grips.  I'm not so sure I want to tackle this install myself.  How many hours labor did the dealer charge for this work?  Thanks!

I was told the internal wire is already there including the plug in to make this work on the Street Glides.

I think it was 4 hours labor. However that was new bars, all new wires, plus the heated grips and internal wiring for the Garmin Roadtec GPS.

I believe it would be much less, due to it being a 15.  Also not changing bars and so on.

Love the heated grips, which is why I had them added.  Have them on my other CVO also.

Thanks Dave. I'd like to know more about the install details on a 2015 SG.  Just unclear as to what needs to be removed other than the outer fairing in order to access the handlebar wiring cutout. Also just where the wiring connector is under the fairing. My local dealer says its about a 2-1/2 hour job, but they want to run the wiring under the fuel tank to my heated seat harness. Any tips from someone who's done it on a 15 SG?

You need to get another opinion from someone else.  There is no reason to run wires to the heated seat harness, and it shouldn't take 2.5 hours.  As I said earlier, the wiring diagrams show the SESG has the same wiring as the SE Limited, at least up front.  If the dealership personnel would care to consult their manuals, they would be able to verify that, then just wire the grips the same way they are wired on a 2015 SE Limited.  They may have to enable them in the BCM with their scan tool, since you have a CAN bus electrical system.

I have clarified this with my dealer. The wiring connections are under the faring and it does not have to be wired back to the heated seat harness.  I have heard the connection can be a bit difficult to find. Does anyone have detail on where it is located or better yet a pic.

I haven't received my grips yet but I would guess the length of the lines should give a person a pretty good idea where to look under the fairing or at least I hope.

Just my humble opinion, if you ride when it is truly cold (anything below 40 degrees) don't waste your money on heated grips and buy a good set of heated glove liners. I left the house Mondsy morning it was 33 degrees, the grips still leave your finger tips getting cold. The gist of this is on my '15 heated grips good down to 40 degrees, heated glove liners below 40.

You are correct light gloves and heated grips are good into the 40's.  Heated gloves and heated grips keep hands warm in down to 9 degrees that I know of at 70 mph.

I don't care for thick gloves like the ones I've tried with heat wiring and I won't ride around here below 38 to 40 degrees anything in the shade might be icy so that's out for me.
