The brake caliper maintenance on Lyndall Brakes site
« on: October 11, 2015, 06:07:06 PM »

I've seen several references here on the forum to the "the brake caliper maintenance procedure on Lyndall Brakes site", but I can't find it.  I think they have taken it down.

Anyone have the link?  I'm not finding it.

The site is down at this time.  There was some chatter earlier this year about problems at Lyndall, so I don't know if they took the site down to redesign it, or they just took it down period.

The site is up Jerry.  But many said there is a tab for brake maintenance and I couldn't find it.

OK, I see they have a new site up and running now.  The link I had in my favorites no longer works, thus my comment about the site being down.  It seems they moved their operation to a new location in August, and are now reinventing their web site.

I don't see the old caliper cleaning instructions anywhere on the new site, and I dug around pretty well.

Thanks for looking around and for my sanity check.   ;D

I'll have to search  around further to see if someone might have saved the original video on YouTube or something like that.

Thanks again.

Maybe send them a message through the web site and ask about the video?   :nixweiss:

Try this link:

https://www.facebook.com/notes/lyndall-racing-brakes/why-do-i-need-to-clean-my-pistons/10151058600591807

This was originally written for the old style Harley brakes, but later models with Brembo brakes are similar.

Good idea Para Bellum.  I sent them a message and asked them to put it back on the site and let me know.

And thanks for the Facebook link.

Lyndall Brakes' site got back to me in minutes and sent me the PDF, which is attached.  They added that they don't know why this document didn't make it to the new site.  Good people.   :bananarock:
