So, stumbled across this site a few weeks ago while researching a scooter that caught my fancy and found some good reading. I wrecked my current ride about a month ago, totaled the bike and my left knee, took the money on the bike and have knee surgery this Friday. (ACL, MCL and medial miniscus)
That being said, I ended up making the deal on an '03 SERK and am waiting to catch it a ride home but figured I better stop in and introduce myself a wee bit.

Had metrics in the 80's and 90's then didn't ride again until '07 when I bout another metric, so this is my first American V-twin and am sure I will like it.  If for no other reason than all the guys I ride with with any consistancy all ride HD and so I won't have to listen to them giving me static... other than I am already hearing from my son that I bought an old man bike.... so I told him I am an old man!@

So, since it says this thread is worthless without pics... her is Lucy, who has gone to motorcycle heaven...

Where in Idaho?  I grew up in the Idaho Falls area, lived all over since HS.

Congratulations you’ve found the best HD forum on the interweb; welcome to the site!

No doubt you’ll find all kinds of useful information on the site, but be sure to take a look at the events section where all our GTG’s are posted (for newbies out there, GTG = Get Together).

As many have found out, attending a GTG is the best way to get to know the members and put a face to those screen names you’ll see. Many a lasting friendship has come out of these GTG's.

We're glad to have you with us, and we hope you'll share your knowledge, ideas, and questions with us, as there are a lot of fine and knowledgable people here on this site who are always willing to learn more themselves, as well as to help others with their bikes!

We hope you'll check out our threads on our National CVOHarley Get-Togethers (GTG's).  We have an annual one out west, one in the Smokies, and one (our first ever) in Eureka Springs, AR in June of 2017.  We encourage you to participate if you can make it!
