It happened to my 2010 Streety at Coober Pedy and we managed to turn the lever around to get a better grip on the spline and limp back to Melbourne....New shaft and lever and we're off again :apple:

Mine went out yesterday on the interstate. Went on the exit ramp and was going to downshift,  lever was dangling. Not cool.

Another issue I see all the time is the lever on the trans is loose. I thought at first that it was from people banging the heel shifter , but I see many that have that shifter removed . Many times they will have tried to tighten it and the allen is almost stripped . Remove it and install a bolt and you can tighten it correctly
