New CVO Owner & CVOHarley Member

Hey everyone!  Traded my '11 Fat Boy Lo and I just brought home my '16 CVO Road Glide Ultra (FLTRUSE) a couple days ago.  Man do I love this new ride!  First thing I need to do though is lower it just a bit, maybe an 1".  I would appreciate any suggestions/advice on doing this.  Thanks,  John

John, that sure is a purdy CVO Road Glide Ultra and Welcome to the site from The Lowcountry of South Carolina! Yah need to be real careful around here because there are people here that will help you spend money without even thinking about it. ;)

Welcome to the board from San Diego.

Jon (Jonga on this forum) lowered his CVO Ultra Classic with Legend air shocks.  I believe that just about anything you do to lower it is going to change the cushiness of the ride and may affect handling as well.  Hopefully somebody that's actually been successful with lowering this same model can share with you their experience.

Congratulations you’ve found the best HD forum on the interweb; welcome to the site!

No doubt you’ll find all kinds of useful information on the site, but be sure to take a look at the events section where all our GTG’s are posted (for newbies out there, GTG = Get Together).

As many have found out, attending a GTG is the best way to get to know the members and put a face to those screen names you’ll see. Many a lasting friendship has come out of these GTG's.

So, if you want to meet people, ride some awesome roads, kick back and have fun, come to one or all of the GTG's. In the immortal words of Mikeytee, stop pondering, get a hankering, and make your reservation to attend.

We're all glad to have you with us, and we hope you'll share your knowledge, ideas, and questions with us.
There are a lot of fine and knowledgable people here on this site who are always willing to help others with their bikes as well as to learn more themselves!

Also, we hope you'll check out the threads regarding our National CVO Harley Get-Togethers (GTG's).  We have an annual GTG out west, one in the Smokies, and one (our first ever) in Eureka Springs, AR in June of 2017 dubbed the "Meet in the Middle" or MITM.  We encourage you to participate if you can make it!
