How many of you are using waze?
« on: October 19, 2015, 06:17:46 PM »

When I first tried this app I was not that impressed, but over time it has become one of the best GPS apps around.

Having the updated road hazards and traffic data and Police info all on one map is great.

Maybe a better question is who knows what waze is?

Anyone who lives in a metropolitan area.    :huepfenlol2:   One of the best features of the app is that it directs you to your destination based on traffic reports, active and passive, from its members.  It may take you on an absolutely strange route but it is almost always the fastest.    :2vrolijk_21:

Never heard of it.  But as Greg stated "anyone that lives in a metropolitan area".  Would Wartburg, TN be considered metropolitan or just bubbapolitan.... ;D

I guess I'll have to check into this "waze" deal and see what all the fuss is about.

I dream of living in a bubbapolitan, you can have the Metro's and Waze and whatever Mass Transit App you need to get from point A to B.   :2vrolijk_21:

Being all politically incorrect and such, I don't like the locate a cop feature; but I've been reprimanded for that opinion more than once.  :huepfenjump3:

It is quite a sophisticated app that works better than Garmin.
I was driving in NY city a few weeks ago trying to get on GW bridge and it was faster and the verbal reads the signs verbatim. Hard to screw that up.
The warnings are timely including traffic, police, and obstacles.
I have never used it on 2 wheels yet, but that is coming. I just need to mount the Iphone and bluetooth the audio.
I would not bother trying to give feedback on a bike, a recipe for disaster.

It would be great if HD could integrate it with the GPS.

Its all I use. Iphone 6 with lifeproof case, goes from the road glide to the car, no problem  Don't even use the GPS my CVO came with. Riding and driving in NYC, WAZE is a must! Letting you know where the redlight  and speed cameras are. I even have Jay Leno telling me where to go and what to watch out for. LOLAlan
