Quite a few of you have contributed to my earlier thread on if I had decided on the right CVO. In case you want to catch up, please check out this thread:
http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1169333372Well, after much thought, reading all of your comments, checking out various websites, talking to many dealers and friends, I finally decided to go with what I really want. I chose to put a deposit down on the B/O FLHTCUSE2. I really love the SERK (had to say that to keep Hoist off my back

), but I always kept going back to the Ultra and all the cool stuff it had along with the comfort that it provides on the long haul rides!! I told the dealer where I had the deposit on the SERK that I will bring my Heritage up and get my 10K service done to chew up some of (most of) the $500 deposit. He is a really great guy that I highly recommend to any of you in the Wichita Falls area. I also know where you can get a SERK at MSRP [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] if anyone is looking.
Thanks to all who provided feedback either way. There really is no right or wrong choice, just had to decide which one I want at this time. I'll keep the Heritage to satisfy my need for a quick change, but I feel it may not be too long for the garage.
Once I decided on the Ultra, it was a tough hunt to :
1) find a store that had them available, and
2) find one that would sell it at a fair price.
I have to give a shout out to the members who recommeded dealers to contact (from the previous thread above). The ones I did contact were all great and tried to help as best they could. Most did not have any in, or receipt was in the May/June time frame.
The dealer that earned the business was none other than our own
KentuckyHarleyDude. I spoke to Bubba and his sales rep and they were very informative and helpful. Pricing is great as well as the bennies of buying some chrome and other goodies at delivery. Scott, thanks again for all of your help and I look forward to working with you and your staff.
I will actually be at the store next Monday to meet my salesperson (Chris) and get to know the staff at
Four Rivers HD in Paducah, KY. It's only a couple of hours drive from my company's corporate headquarters and I am in town usually twice a month. They will probably get sick of seeing and talking to me since delivery is not until late March. I may have to bring Howie (Hoist) in for a consult [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Now all the fun stuff starts. What and when to add "stuff". I also have to decide on whether to trailer it back home (about 660 miles) or have it shipped. I also have to get busy reading all of the threads in the Ultra section now too!!
Thanks again for the advice and I'll try to document my delivery as well as Hoist did his...well maybe not quite as intense.

Just kidding bro'....I share your enthusiasm. Makes you feel like its Christmas time again, just a little more expensive [smiley=drink.gif]
