Thanks for the memories. I remember when they delivered our first TV set and placed it in the living room on an end wall. It sat there for a week not plugged in or turned on waiting for the technician to put up the antenna and complete the hook-up. That TV had a round picture tube and a cabinet that was half the size of a refrigerator. Oh yeah, we had only one channel and it signed off at 10:00 PM and started the broadcast day at 6:00AM.
Man that was a great time to be a kid. That was 1953 and I was 5.
