Aftermarket Wheel?
« on: November 09, 2015, 12:56:46 PM »

I'm going to a 23" front wheel for my
2012 FLHXSE3.   Looking at PM and R C  chrome  wheels.  I've had PM products in the past and the chrome plating started to peel after couple years.  I'd like get some feedback from you guys on aftermarket chrome wheels?

I wish I could say one was better than the other however I don't find that to be true. I do think the chrome looks better on brand over another however that doesn't seem to be a gauge of the longevity of the chrome. Chrome is EVIL and depending on where you reside the elements may not help the situation.

Some companies are offering longer warranties than others, read the fine print.... The best luck I've had with warranties is Renegade as they a very quick and no BS. RC does ok with minimal hoops to jump through. PM frustrated me to no end with claims although with the changes in the company that may have changed.

Good luck. Just pick a wheel you like and roll with it!

I have had great success with PM albeit I've only been using there products for about the last 5 years.

I have had to climb the chain of command at times or catch them at a Rally but in the end they've always stepped up and resolved any issue or concern presented for remedy.

I can't speak for myself on this but my buddy has been running RC wheels for the last two years with no problems. They still look showroom clean with no pitting.  We live in Ohio with lots of sh_t weather all year long.  I agree with the other guys, I don't think you can go wrong with either if you are willing to keep up on the detailing side of things
