TTS Tuner in or around the San Antonio area
« on: November 09, 2015, 08:22:42 PM »

Looking for a tuner in San Antonio,Tx area for the TTS. Most places i've talked to won't touch it with the TTS. I know GMR is in Dallas area but thats a good drive for me & then trying to squeeze it in one day... I have a 2015 RG CVO. Just installed the D&D Touring Billet 2-1's. I was using the Fullsac Pipe & V&H Slipons before with the map they send out... No issues with new pipes just would like to fine tune..

I brushed off the advice of these good folks the first time I had my bike "tuned". About a week later I was making what amounts to the same trip as you're looking at... Victorville, CA to Lake Havasu, AZ. It was worth it. Suck it up... Pick a day with great weather and leave at 4am, get gas and a bite in Temple or Waco and you'll be in the city right after traffic clears up. Get your tune, hit the 281 home on your new and improved RGU.  :bananarock: You'll be home an hour after dark.

It's one day. Your bike will be right and you'll get a fair piece of riding in.  :2vrolijk_21:

Agree...  It's lucky to have a guy that close - most of us have to travel much farther to find a competent tuner.   :2vrolijk_21:

Found a local shop that mainly does the power commander &  race tuner. He's going to do some research on the TTS Mastertune software. Probably going to do a couple runs to see how much if any it needs and go from there.

You have 2 good tuners in Dallas.   Ed Dahir the Dyno Difference and Steve at GMR.

I made a 3 hour trip to a recommended tuner. I am so happy with the tune, i would go farther.  A tuner that knows the device is better than one who is going to learn.  if I were you, i would reconsider GMR in fort worth..  Then again if I was going to GMR, i would be planning for cams, 113 and head work.

We are more than happy to tune your bike. I do understand the long drive.  We can tune the TTS with no issues what so ever.  The newest version of TTS is extremely nice software. It takes some hands on time to understand how all of the newest options work and become familiar with it . It is very loosely the same process to the HD tuner.  But with several more options and tables.

We tune with the Green TTS module for data logging. ( your blue is used to load the cal only) So we are tuning Narrow band and wide band directly at the same time.

The ability to tune the EGR makes for a amazingly smooth running bike and the timing tables though Vtune 3 are another very nice feature.

As for the base map from Fulsac and the mufflers you have I would bet there is going to be a rather large change in the VE numbers. His mufflers and the VH are nothing alike.

Steve

Good luck hope that you get it tuned in.

Try and see if Mike Lozano is still tuning.  He didn't have the MasterTune software, but he knows his stuff.
I took my laptop with the software installed over with the bike.

You obviously don't know a lot about tuning , seems like your local shop may not either.
You asked for advice and you're getting some good advice here.
You should be listening to these guys.
