Well it has been quite a while since I have been here on the forum. My health has been a real roller coaster the last 5 years and I finally decided to get rid on my beloved Angry Bird (58k miles). I have had more than 8 surgeries on my feet in the last few years and all that has accomplished is draining my bank account! I decided maybe a lighter bike would be easier on me and I only ride local these days anyway. The neuropathy has reached my hands and the last long ride I took on the Angry Bird put me in some serious pain! Sadly I now realize my bike traveling days are gone. I have been considering getting rid of my bike for the last two years but just didn't know what I wanted. Well that was until the 2016's were released and I feel in love! Meet my new girl Twisty Brinkley! It is a 2016 Softail Slim Special FLSS in Vivid Black. I have been thinking I would like an all-black bike and always liked the softail's but never owned one. The options on this bike eased the pain of letting the Angry Bird go!
110" motor, cruise control, abs brakes and alarm! So far I am really happy with her. She really carves up some turns with her larger front tire 90mm than the rear 85! She handles like she’s on rails! The 110 in this light bike is quit the rocket! This is definitely a lot lighter on my feet even with Beefie on board! I think a lot of people think I chit my brains but it was time to try something, anything because I have lost faith in the doctors! It’s just not fun to ride when it hurts! So far so good with the new bike. Have about 800 miles on her. I Added a Corbin seat and mini floorboards for comfort and to get Beefie onboard. She was not happy when she saw no seat for her!
