Billet Aluminum vs Factory FLH Swingarm Pivot Blocks
« on: November 12, 2015, 08:16:17 PM »

I was wondering if the Acutronix Billet Pivot Blocks are as durable as the stock steel blocks? I need some blocks to put stock Harley passenger floorboards on bike. The Billet blocks look great but I m concerned about Durability. http://www.accutronix.com/p/bagger_touring/billet_parts/792.html

I believe they'd be more than sufficient for the purpose...   :2vrolijk_21:

Ok thanks. They are a little more than cost of Harley used blocks.
They look really Nice.

For the "block" part I'd not worry.  I'd go with the OE steel parts though for the other function.  I've got passenger footboards off and on often enough I'd rather be regularly taking those bolts on and off out of steel rather than aluminum parts.  After all, there are some of us who if we can screw up a thread we will....  :drink:

A little ant-seize on the bolts, you'll be fine.
