2016 CVO Limited - Pipes
« on: November 13, 2015, 09:38:56 PM »

Okay - new CVO owner here (2016 CVO Limited)..... still have 100% stock but thinking of getting new pipes primarily for safety so others hear me.

I had 2013 Ultra Limited with Rhinehart  4" SlipOn (with Stage 1).....loved the sound. Anyone have 2016 CVO Limited with non-stock pipes? Recomendations to share?

I am running the fullsac and 4Inch reinharts. I like the sound and performance.  A lot of guys run the fullsac baffles in the stock CVO slipons.

I got the fullsac 2.0 cores on the way, and plan on doing the dx fullsac pipe and tts tuner soon.

I have Cobra headers and CFR mufflers.  Great rich deep sound but just too loud for me.  Combination of the 110 plus the exhaust just makes them too loud to use the radio or helmet headsets.

I pause for a second every time I say or type that.  Never thought I'd say my exhaust would be too loud.

Tried my FM 2-1-2 head pipe with FM Pro Touring muffler from my prior Ultra Limited on my CVO last spring.  Fired it up and could not believe how much louder it was on the 110 vs the 103.  Did not like the sound so left the head pipe and changed back to stock mufflers with Fullsac baffles.  Happy with the sound now.  Still trying to decide whether I like 1.75 and 2.0 inch best but plan to stay with Fullsac.

Fullsac header with 2" CVO Power Cores, SERT.  Rides nice, sounds nice and I am not deaf when I get to my destination.  Best part with the power cores if you don't like the sound you can swap them out for a little over $100 and have "new pipes" with a new sound.

Fullsac has a deal right now for CVO members for 10% off and free shipping.  Think you have to call order in to get it.

the 1.75 cores work great and will add a small amount of tq dow low over the 2.0 and reduce the sound. Give to get deal .  I am not a fan of loud either I run crusher mellow mufflers on my 124 and most never know what I have for power on tap. Better way to put it is that no one looks at my bike when I fire it up. However when we roll on it they get a great look at the rear of it.  :pepper:

I run V & H 2 into 1 into 2 headers with RC slip ons with Black and Chrome billet ends. The deepest rumble without being harsh or too too loud. Best sound combo I have had.

the RC mufflers have a very large baffle.. so what I am saying is they are not a great performance item
