TTS 100 Back to back Dyno Test!
« on: November 14, 2015, 08:54:58 PM »

Just finished up installing and tuning the TTS 100 cams in my own 2015 103 RG. Big TQ increase across the board! Especially between 2000 and 3000 RPM where you spend all your time. 10 FT pound increase at 2500 RPM! This was a back to back cam install with no other changes. Pulled out the stock 103 cams and bolted in the TTS 100s with the stock pushrods. Made AFR adjustments only. No timing changes were made. Pretty impressive TQ gains.

Parts details

2015 Air cooled 103
DX Pipe
2.0 cores in the stock 103 mufflers
SE 58 throttle body
SE CNC ported heads
SE Heavy Breather AC
TTS 100 cams.
Tuning with TTS Mastertune.

Steve, have you worked out a TTS tune for the cam for the water-cooled 110 yet? I've just installed your DX, along with 2" cores with screens. Thinking about doing the cam next. Thanks in advance.

By the way, your system rocks! Great sound and power.

Glad you like my parts!

I haven't tuned one yet but Steve Cole has. I believe the TTS 100 CVO maps are in their data base.

This might be the end of the build for this one. Heading out on shortly on a breakfast ride to Oatman to try it out. Looking forward to the 6th gear roll ons with a few of my friends.

Ride safe, report back @ the end of your day with update  :2vrolijk_21:

Just finished a 150 mile loop. Bottom end roll on is amazing. It's deceivingly quick.  Motor is completely happy turning 2000 RPM in 6th gear just cruising along at 50. Feels like a lot more cubic inches than just 103. The throttle response off the bottom requires a little extra hand control. I going to go into the throttle settings on the TTS and see if I can soften it up a little. If you ride heavy this cam is the real deal.

Why a 58mm TB?

Is it beneficial with a mild build?

What compression ratio are you at?

I believe the 58 TB is adding around 2-4 HP and a few points of TQ on this build. Its a no risk bolt on.
Compression ratio should be real close to 9.7-9.8. I didn't have the luxury of time to CC anything on this one. Pulled the heads out of the box and bolted them on with a .030 gasket.

Steve@fullsac.com

Could you please explain what you mean by the bike requires extra hand control? Is this required from a dead stop?

Thanks

This combination of parts makes instant power from idle. The 58 TB compounds this by increasing CFM at the same openings right off idle. A small amount of wrist movement results in more acceleration than you may have wanted. The fix was easy. I went into the TB adjustment with TTS and slowed the wrist to butterfly ratio down. The bike is an absolute dream to ride. Passing from 70 MPH is just a roll of the wrist.
