Hello All - fairly new to this site... have only posted in the new member intro section so far.  this is my 1st post here!

i must say... i love these CVO's - especially mine  ;D!!!

that being said - it came with Rinehart true duel setup with their 4" slip on's with now record of previous or last tune

--after much research in and around here - i have opted to go with this 1st wave of mods - parts are ordered!!!!

V&H power duels, V&H high output carbon tips, WO 578 barsm Custom Dynamics LED front & rear signals with run break turn module & freedom shield 8" medium grey tint
---my local indy will be doing a tune - going with Directlink and it is going on the dyno
---possible seat modifications with Mean City Cycles once i see where the wild one bars get me ( i am vertically challenged and still tip toed along with with bent a bit forward for now
---time to gain some TQ back into my bike - now that it is MINE!!!
---i know i know... none of you have ever heard of any of these brands or manu's!!  lolololol

--oh, forgot - grips:  i do like my grips and the heaters do work - but i have looked at a few 2015 & 2016 CVO Ultra's when i am lurking @ my local HD dealer and i must say - those grips seem to feel so much better with actual better grip - has anyone with my year or around my year upgraded to the newer model grips??? do they work with my bike anyway? my dealer prices me out at $500.00 and as he was telling me the price - he actually said he was surprised to see them prided that high...

anyone have a set for sale?

also - if anyone interested in a Rinehart true duel full set - send me an email - mint condition!

looking forward to any input.

Peace!
JJ

I just put them on my 12 CVO Roadglide a few weeks ago. They do feel great with thick or thin gloves, best I have ever felt. Get insanely hot also.

$500 is correct for MSRP pricing.  See attachment for part numbers and prices.

Discounts are available, but make sure you check shipping costs and taxes, not just listed prices, when comparing.  One example from Surdyke H-D is shown below.

Retail was $269. and my dealer gave me 15% off. Expensive but to me well worth it.

Alan - thanks for your replies! bike looks great!

are they the same as the 2015/16 CVO grips - as the part numbers that Alan listed above are different... i am a little confused as they do look exactly the same.

i wish my dealer gave 15% off parts....  not sure what they will be offering as a deal or sales on black friday yet.

Peace!

The grips Alan used are sold as a kit for bikes that didn't come with heated grips originally, whereas the part numbers I gave you are from the replacement parts list for an actual 2016 CVO Limited.  The ones sold as a kit aren't intended to be wired internally, but someone who knows their way around vehicle wiring can in fact wire them internally.  Assuming you intend to have the dealership do the install, I'd suggest talking to them about the full cost including all labor to do it both ways.  Using the parts from the 2016 CVO should be more of a plug and play solution, and modifying the kit to be wired internally may add more to the labor side of the equation.  This is a great example of how manufacturers price their products, with replacement parts priced significantly higher than the same items packaged for accessory sales.

thanks Jerry!  maybe i will just buy a 2016 LOL

they do seem much thinner of a grip than mine... maybe i am being too picky!

still undecided... but if i do choose to do the mod - thanks for sourcing out better pricing for me!

Peace!
