Deb just felt more comfortable on the batwing, before the glide she had a '11 limited and put 15k on it..
I saw the 11 cvo glide and, looking back, had influenced her more than I should have..it's her ride..
She liked the glide but it was never "the one". We all know the feeling. She saw the 16 and said "it just spoke to me"..she has had a smile a mile wide and to be honest it's good to see. I really don't care what she rides as long as she ride and is comfortable doing it..
It's her bike and I stayed out of the decision making process.
When my wife moved up to a touring bike in 11 from a Heritage I tried to steer her to a Road Glide. She did not like the road glide. Tried again when she traded in 13, as she had 46K on the street glide, again she did not like the road glide, she had also road mine several times and did not like it. In 15 we were in Sturgis when they unveiled the 15 Road Glide. She and I were the first ones in line for Demo the first day. She liked it. When we got home, she demoed a 15 RG special then a SG special back to back and bought the RGS with zero input from me.
So I agree, let them get what they want, after all they ride it, and they need to be happy. Mine loves the 15 and newer road glides but hates the 13 and older ones.
