Howdy! Rick from Omaha, NE. In 2005 I walked into a Harley-Davidson dealer in Kansas City, MO. I was there with a friend to pick up his new Softail Deluxe. At the time I had a beauty: 1996 Fat Boy, billet Weld wheels and lots of goodies, and in rare States Pearl Blue color. But there on the show room floor was a red CVO Fat Boy, fresh off the delivery truck. Love at first sight. It was a must-have, but at $27.5K, was out of my budget for that time.
A few years thereafter, I sold my beloved Fat Boy. I was a single dad with a very young son, and didn't feel that the ride was worth the risk. My kid needed me, and that took priority over everything else. I took what was to be a 6-year hiatus from 2008 to 2014 and hadn't planted my butt on any bike of any kind. With my son now a teenager, and his mom in a better place financially, I decided to get something with two wheels. A 2004 Triumph Daytona 955i became that choice. A British sportbike at that, quite a departure from my past choices. Enjoyed the raw power and fast rides for a year, and then I found her on a whim: 2005 CVO Fat Boy with lots of extras.
This was my chance, and I took it. Just a little over 19K miles, and absolutely spotless. The previous owner added over $10K of lovely pieces, culminating into the perfect starting point to add my own touches to. Factory H-D hard bags, Dragonfly failing w/ stereo, Renegade front wheel, Weld back wheel, Roland Sands bars, and the list goes on. With that, I present my new love, Valerie:

More pics to come when I get her out for a good cleaning.
