Try Boardtrack HD.  They have a company called Cornerstone. I got an additional 3 years for around $975 for my Ultra.

Read the fine print.  I believe there are some members here that will share their personal experience.....that they don't cover near as much as the extended warranty offered by HD.  I've heard the same thing from a shop owner that does extended warranty work.  Do your research before trying to save a buck.  :nixweiss:

Their website doesn't offer any detail on any of the plans, just a "call us for more information" note.  That's the first thing that makes we wonder about them.  I've found over the years that good companies will put the full coverage and exclusions in writing on the website.  If the only way I can get details is to "call them", it makes me believe it's a high pressure sales pitch that will be on the other end of that phone line, and just verbal assurances that mean zilch.

I'd suggest getting a copy of the actual written contract from the dealer and then do some research and comparison to other more well known offerings from CNA, Cornerstone, etc.

Are you planning on purchasing this for a new bike, or an older used bike?  That can have a large affect on the price.

From my personal experience I have found out it is best to go with the manufacturers warranty, i.e. Ford, GM, etc. Based on this, Harley Dealers offer, on the most part, an extended warranty by CNA. Purchasing this warranty makes it easier, faster, and a lot less hassle when filing a claim since MOST dealers sell this warranty. JMO. :)

Thanks for the replies, I do have concerns and the only reason I am asking is the place that I bought the bike is a very reputable place, has a very good reputation and has been around for a long time. They did give me a pamphlet that explains in detail what is covered, the BBB gives them a A+ rating but yet I don't know how harley would except it for service. Any dealers that would give me any insight on that? Here is the pamphlet. The local HD wanted about $2100 for 2 years, does this sound about right?

I have to ask who the local dealer is as I'm not far from you. It's a used bike so you don't get the discounted rates like on a new bike. I'm trying to remember what I had paid for the 3 year ESP I had purchased when I bought my '11 used. You can also go to another dealer in your area and see if they'll give you a better deal. You don't have to buy it where you bought the bike.

Check with Barb at Southeast Harley which is close to you. They are in Bedford and are MORE then fair when it comes to pricing on all aspects of the business.  :2vrolijk_21:

panz I have met Barb before but I haven't been up there yet so yes I will check with her and others in the area also. As you know we have our fair share of HD dealers around here and I only checked with Rubber City as of yet, hopefully I can get a better price.

OBB it is "State 8 Motorcycle & ATV" in Cuyahoga Falls, they have been, what I thought, always a good company.

Now that's funny. It's where I bought my '11 SERGU back in April of 2012. Had a great experience with them and got one helluva price on that bike.  :2vrolijk_21:

I can share my experience with a "non Harley" ESP - which is what I have. I have not had a dealership give me a hard time performing any ESP covered services on the bike especially when travelling. the only time I had an issue it was 1000+ miles from home on vacation and it was a combination of miscommunication, and misunderstanding the ESP companies instructions. It all worked out fine in the end, it just took some time to get all parties involved on the same page in regards to how the repairs would be paid for because it was an ESP company that the dealership was unfamiliar with. I must admit that the dealership I was dealing with was great and did most of the dealing with the ESP company - I only had to send a signed copy of the invoice the the ESP folks at a later date because the service department gave it to me by mistake, which held up the issuing of the check.

From Kutter HD but they no longer sell it to out of state customers.

What company are you using for your bike?

I have an ESP with ExtraRide powersports.  I purchased the plan through my home dealer (well my old home dealer  ;D ) back in CT.  From what I can gather by reading the terms and conditions the plan I have offers the same coverage - and exclusions - as the CNA plan offered by HD.

Thanks everyone for the responses, I have some time as I will wait till spring to buy it so the bike isn't sitting wasting coverage in the garage. I think I will call some dealers and ask them if there would be problems with them excepting it, phato1 it sounds like there wouldn't be any, thanks. OBB, panz maybe we can meet up some day. Thanks again!
