Does anyone know if a 2015 CVO Road Glide Air Cleaner ( H-D Part Number 61300517) will be a direct fit on a 2008 CVO Ultra?

I checked, but am uncertain. Looks like it fits 2009 and up, but when I put in my bike model it appears that it works, but I'm dubious.

That part number in your first post is just a cover for the Ventilator air cleaner, not the entire air cleaner. So no, it won't fit on your stock 2008 air cleaner with the football shaped cover. You would need to buy the entire ventilator air cleaner kit.

Jerry, I have the Screaming Eagle CVO air cleaner that is stock for the 2008 CVO Ultra. It looks like the ventilator (and may be) but appears to me to be thicker than the one shown.

The 2008 CVO Ultra came with the standard air cleaner common to all Touring models at the time with the exception of a slight mod to the housing for improved flow plus the unique CVO outer cover. It's not the Ventilator. To get what you posted originally, you would have to buy the entire kit which includes the backing plate, filter element, and the cover. That particular cover only fits the Ventilator. The Ventilator kit will fit a 2008 btw, even though the web site doesn't list it. It is street legal for 2009 and later, but it wasn't certified for the 2008 for whatever reason.
