That's the problem, lining up an oval to look straight on a rectangle saddle bag. Always a hair off one way or the other

Can't say I had the Monster Ovals mounted because of the look necessarily, but I can say I like them quite well. They sound good and tone down at highway speeds. A before and after image attached - stock vs. Monster Ovals... Predicated on that basis, I like them a lot more.

I had ovals for years. Put rounds on people's bikes now. Only slight difference in tone.  Volume the same

Hi output much louder and pick for current bike. 110 really comes alive compared to 103 with hi output

While I can't speak for my CVO, my old SG had Power Duals with Hi Outputs with the sound insulation removed.  Those pipes along with a stage 1 download and a Roland Sands air cleaner woke the bike up.  My buddy was pissed because my 103 walked on him in every gear against his 110 CVO.  Can't wait to put the same setup on my CVO and see what it does.

I had FatShotz and then went to High Outputs. My bike was asleep until 3000RPM with the High Outputs, but I was also running my stock headers. I've seen several people complain about that low end loss. I have Fullsac DX headers and Crushers now and got the power back (and then some...).

You may have found a combo you really like. I know the High Outputs look and sound awesome so you may be ok with the sacrifice. But man, throw Crushers on with a good tune and you may not look back! it's night and day as far as performance.

Hate to revive an old thread but did as much searching as I can...

I have V&H Dresser Duals with Monster Rounds and feel like I'm not utilizing the power of 110 as much as I could be. Heard the power down low is lost and slight detonation upon release of throttle. I know a good tune would make a world of a difference but no great tuner in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that I know of...

Considering switching out my headers to the Power Duals as I can get it locally at a good price with no shipping charges. Would go Fullsac but don't have the stock heat shields plus shipping to Hawaii for this is like a new set of handle bars  :nixweiss:

Need feedback if this is the route I should take with the Power duals? I will upload map with SEPRT and autotune or could go FP3? Any help is greatly appreciated before I spend the dollars or save it for another mod. TIA

Aloha

If you still have your stock mufflers, you could try this if shipping for Fullsac baffles and TTS tuner isn't too steep.  It could get you a good tune w/o a tuner-man there:
1. Check with Fullsac to see if they have a map for Power Duals with their baffles (2.0" or 2.25").  If yes,
2. Get the PDs, FS baffles, and TTS tuner w/ map,
3. Install all and run it.

I used V & H Power Duels, Monster Rounds and  V & H Fuel Pak very close tune w/ recommended download and ecm flash.
