I have floating rotors that were stock on my FXR4 CVO.  70,000 miles and no problems. I have replaced my pads only once and still have a lot of material on the pads.

I'm not sure which style wheel came stock on your bike, but the word Chisel comes to mind?  Anyway, looking at the Harley Accessory site I don't see many offerings but did come across these that supposedly go with the Agitator style.

Harley's own website says they will fit a 2014 FLHTKSE (look under the fitment tab on the pages I linked previously).  The ones Harley offers with the old style center piece that bolted to the hub (3.5 inch bolt pattern) are the ones that won't work.

What information do you have that makes you think the stock rotors are not a full floating design?

MoCo says the rotors you have are "Floating", but the "float" is accomplished via the bolts and washers used to attach the rotor to the wheel. The rotor is a single piece design si I suppose it can be argued that it is not "full floating". See the rotor you have here:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/chisel-floating-brake-rotors

The "Agitator" rotor is a two-piece design and most would consider it "full floating" as the rotor is fully separate from the wheel mount. You can compare this rotor design here:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/agitator-floating-brake-rotors-pa-03-41500008--1

If it were me and I was insistent on having a two-piece rotor, I would simply order the Agitator rotor for the Chisel wheel. Of course, I would research and verify that it would bolt up first but the probability is very high that it will.

Hope this helps

Interesting. My 2014 CVO Road King already has front full floating rotors. The rear is a fixed rotor, but with the Reflex system and the fact that 70% of motorcycle braking is from the front brakes it works very well. Full floating rotors do have an advantage in high speed heavy braking.

yes that does help I'm with you but again those are ether 19 inch wheel or the wrong bolt pattern

The rim diameter has nothing to do with the bolt pattern for the rotors.  Trust me, they don't design new rotors for every different rim size they offer.  The bolt pattern is measured from the centerline of the wheel to the bolt holes, not from the rim.  The only reason I can think of why H-D says they don't fit other wheels is due to the styling, since that center section isn't going to coordinate very well visually with a Chisel wheel.  If you don't care about the appearance difference but you doubt they will fit, measure from the axle to the bolt holes on your bike and then find a SESG with the Agitator wheels and measure that wheel.  I'll bet they will be the same.

Btw, if you would prefer a chrome center section with a plain (non-polished) friction surface, you could just buy the replacement rotors that came on the SESG with Agitator rims.  An added bonus is they cost less than the polished version with the black center section, MSRP of $189 each and can be found on discount sites like Surdyke for less than $160 each.

41500004  RH
