Zumo 550 Play MP3 music while using GPS Navigation?

I have Handlebar speakers /amp that will plug into Zumo 550 headphone jack. I carefully read my manual about loading and playing MP3 files. But it says Nothing about playing MP3 files while using the GPS for Navigation. Is it possible?  If so how? Using the volume control on GPS  would be much easier than fiddling with MP3 Player.

You can use/play MP3's while using navigation on your Zumo 550... when it needs to prompt you for navigation instructions it will pause MP3's give you the navigation information and resume playing your MP3's... at least that is what it does on mine when I have my radio set to AUX while playing MP3's and using the navigation.

Great Thanks! I will load some of my best music to the SD card. Then plug my amplifier mini 3.5mm stereo plug into the Zumo headphone jack and I should  be set. I guess the Navigation voice will com blasting through.  Probably can't mute navigation voice and still listen to music. Oh well.

Only time the navigation prompts will interrupt is if you are running a route you have loaded, or entered a destination you want to go to... otherwise if you're just riding and have the map showing it will not interrupt the music.

Ok thanks guys. I never had music on a motorcycle before. In the past I always said who needs music. My motor is music to my ears.
I hope the money spent will be worth it. I enjoy music when I am stopped. It should be interesting at leat for me.

You can mute the navigation and not the music, just saying.
