TTS 100 vs. SE255
« on: December 20, 2015, 07:19:37 PM »

2011, 103" Street Glide, Stage I, SE255's, Fuel Moto Jackpot cat-less head pipe, Rineharts.

Could someone please compare and contrast the differences between these two cams?

Thanks

They are very close to each other. I would expect the TTS to run a little quieter assuming the valve springs were changed at the same time.
Hard to justify the cam based on that alone.

The 255 in a 110" with a D&D pipe breaks 100 ft. lbs. @ 2300 rpm, drops below 100ft. lbs. @4900 rpm. http://harleytechtalk.org/htt/index.php/topic,85735.0.html.

The TTS 100 in a 110" (from the TTS forum here) shows breaking 100 ft. lbs. at 1700 rpm, and holding it past 5200 rpm, on a bike with some issues.

Is it a big difference, for some no, but coupled with quieter operation I would go for the TTS 100.
IMO the 255 is good in a 96" motor.

Realize the OP is talking about a 103" but depending on how many miles maybe time for a lifter and cam bearing change anyway, and those TTS cams have shown good results in 103's too.
Here's a 103" from Fullsac, although it has CNC heads.

It may help put the cylinder pressure slightly less.
