Overall, I'm very happy with everything so far. I'd really rather be riding it, but the weather will come back soon. At least I got 1 good day to get this stuff done. Enjoy! ;) Hoist! 8)

I have no idea what you're talking about d00d! I was plannining this right from the beginning! ::) You're absolutely right about that. :2vrolijk_21: FTW! The bike felt great and can only get better. I love the look of the S&S stuff too. Performance comes before looks, but if you can have both, why not! ;) Hoist! 8)

It's a very nice job and sure the Doherty A/C is a beautiful mecanical part.
With these exhausts, is it not a little bit too large ?

Thanks Jacques. You either like those mufflers or you hate them. I've not found an in between. There not only large, they're heavy too. All SS construction throughout. The look like they'll last forever. And with no chrome, they can be repolished if they get messed up! I like the looks and love the sound and performance! You can't go wrong with S&S stuff! The Doherty is a very well made piece. A few minor issues like all aftermarket parts. Same with the exhaust. The True-Track was very simple. And I just bolted on the PC with a 110" custom map my friend Dyno'd another SERK3 with, and rode away. ;) Hoist! 8)

Congrats Howie,

Everything looks great man.  I'll bet your chomping at the bit for the first decent weekend so you can put a few hundred miles on those mods.  You know, nothing but open road in front of you.  Really let those horses open up and stretch their legs.  CRAP, how many hours until spring?   :'(

I like the shape of these exhausts but they are more large than the saddlebegs (topic 178).
I think that it's a little too.
It's a very good material with a good finish.

Howie, I've only got two words for you: Fuel Fitting Cover  (ok, three words dammit). 

Now that that little detail is out of the way:

THAT ROCKS!  Every bit of it.  Love the air cleaner.  That's a good look.  And y'know what?  Those SPO may be more proportional to the size of hard bags.  And some may not like them in this look.  But I dig it.  A LOT.  Especially with that big chrome band down low on the bags themselves.  It looks like some very large thing reached its very large arms around the whole bike and just made it all together.  That's one nice line that starts narrower at the top of the bags and just gets bigger and bigger and biggers until it ends with a hunk o' hunk o' big ol' hunk of stainless steel and attitude down there at the bottom.  Man, I even like the leather bags better with those mufflers underneath them. 

Love it or hate it on your own of course.  But from the bleachers seats I'm singin' Freebird and Enjoyin' Every Minute of It!
