Hopefully not!!!!!  No, I'm sure it's a battery/starter/cable thing.

Load test of battery showed 87 CCA.  New one is on order.  Trying to find a good aftermarket set of cables.  I have a set of Yooper Cables on my SEEG but I have been unable to contact him.  Phone is disconnected and no reply to emails.  Anyone know what other options are out there??

"IF" you know how to solder and are good at it, [or willing to learn] its really not hard to make a really top quality cable of almost any gauge you want. it just requires a bit of care and the willingness to start over if its not perfect, but once you have a soldered, heat shrinked cable the right length it will last a very long time. I've done most of my own wiring for many years [bad starter wire on 79 sportster started that skill set] no failures of any kind in the last ten years on bikes, cars, dozers, etc etc. patience and not skipping any steps are the key. never use wire that is not perfectly shiny when you strip it - always use first class new shiny copper fittings - no copper plated stuff, lead plated steel parts are ok if you don't overheat the parts and use good hardware. dielectric grease reduces contact corrosion issues.

i always up size the wire - labor is the same and it only costs a few cents to use a very good wire compared to a crappy wire.

How about a set of jumper cables connected to your car battery. Important that you do not start your car, just jump off the battery. 12 volts is 12 volts, the only diff is the car battery can handle higher cranking amps.

If the bike starts, good chance your battery is dead, this is a go-no-go test and does not mean if have the ability to do do a proper load test to not do it.

A good set of 4 gauge cables should be more than sufficient; going to 2 gauge won't gain anything but it will cost more and be less flexible.  Look on one of the catalog sites like J&P and you can find sets of 4 gauge cables with full copper lugs priced in the $40 - $60 range.  Or just stick with a new set of stock cables which will work fine for many years for around $25.

Find a shop that deals in high end audio. They usually have quality 4 ga. wire. Auto parts can supply the terminals.
