Looking for a little more
« on: January 08, 2016, 03:15:22 PM »

2012 cvo rg 77k miles. Everything is good. Don't need just want more  thinking about a little head work and  s.e. 58 mm throttle body maybe pistons. Mostly touring but it will hit rev limit in 4th & 5th when I try to keep up with the big boys. Has gmr 577 cams and adjustables. Fullsac dx & 2.5 baffles. S&S premium lifters. 106 H 119 tq.

You already have the GMR cams, thought about their 113 kit.  I would call them!   :)

What over bore pistons are available without too much compression. Or would head work determine the pistons to use ?

Not sure if I spoke to you , we get alot of calls if not please call the shop again. But the 113 kit with stock heads and the 577 cam will boost the power a fair amount.

Hp with the stock t/b is limited no matter what you do but most are in 114 range, tq will go into the mid to upper 120 range .  I would tell you to swap to a larger t/b at the same time as you will need a tune any ways. That would bring the tq in faster and pull it out further and gain hp as well.

Compression wise the little 577 is a trooper when it comes to that. I have guys running it at just over 11.1 and no issues.. I would set it at 10.5 and go from there. Simple deal really and the increase is very healthy.  The one sheet is with the 58,

the other 3 are stock t/b with different pipes

and you get one of these  :D

GMR, hello.

sorry been busy in the shop , building and tuning..

and that is a random sheet i picked not, and its not one of the best with stock heads you do not always get the best power. But anyway you slice it that has a great tq across the board and is a silly fast little package.

I'm sure Steve will have the recipe for your condition.

But as you can see from this pic he posted, you might consider a smaller baffle than the 2.5".
