Check out HD.com for the latest sportster nightster. Like the graphics and chopped fenders. Talks about new engine finish?

I kind of like it, can't belive a side mount tag from the MOTOCO may be the base for good little hot rod...

Thats funny.  They charge $100 extra for EFI but a carb option is not available!  One way to keep it under $10 grand!  HD stands for what?? [smiley=oops.gif]

I think the Nightster, like the V-Rod shows that the MoCo is testing the waters to see what appeals to the younger set.  Afterall, they need someone  around to buy their machines when all of us geezers [smiley=bandana.gif] go to the Big Rally in the Sky. [smiley=engel017.gif]

This model shows me that Harley has listened to the motorcycle magazines when last year they predicted that choppers were on a decline and bobbers were going to be the latest fad style bike.
It looks nice and maybe as an around town barhopper or a starter bike it might be nice.
I remember what a pain it is to clean spokes and change a tire on a tube type rim setup and I don't want to return to "The good old days" that bad.
I also remember those rubber boots on the forks cracking and letting in water to rust underneath and create fork seal leaks.(more maintenance checks)
Then you have a 3.3 gal. tank on a 1200? Looks cool to show off the engine I guess?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
Maybe the frequent gas stops will be a welcome thing?
Otherwise I think it looks good.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hey Va,
The intent of these things is not to replace our touring monsters but to have a fun little scoot to buzz around on.  I have always kept hold of a Sportster or Buell for those fun local rides under 100 miles or so.

Sure wouldn't take that little thing much further anymore....leave that for the kids  :)

This sure will please the Euro crowd wich are into the all dark look.Street bob was a huge succsess this side of Atlantic it outsold a lot of bikes not only in cruiser catagory but sports and tourers as well.So if the streetbob is the blqked out chopper this one is the blacked out bobber.Look at the foot controls.Mid again the way euro customers prefer.Personaly i like my pegs forward and theres no substitue for chrome. But still i would buy one in vivid black if i could relocate the pegs.Than some engine mods from zippers than out on street for some rice whopping.Oooppppsss..OCD kicked in again lol. Style wise , I think this is what the street bob should have been.
I think it needs forward controls and at least mini apes , but that's a quick fix.   Add some red pinstripes .. nice lil scoot.

My wife has a 1200c , they are quick lil bikes .. it would be fun for a day rider.

The guy in the video clip looks too cramped with the mid controls
