120 inch in a CVO ?
« on: January 25, 2016, 05:55:49 PM »

Since it is inevitable that all full size bikes will be coming with a 110c.i. in the near future do guys think that the CVO bikes will be kicked up to a 120c.i. in the near future?CAHDBIKER

More then likely, if history repeats itself.

At the very least, I think it won't be 110" motor.

Hear they are coming out with a low rider "S" 110" as a 16.5 model too. Kinda of a tricked "Club style" rig with fairing, goldish type rims & 2-1 pipe.

Actually looked pretty good to me.

Well, we could possibly see something slightly bigger than a 120 inch in a CVO for 2017.

We now have 110" kits for 103's, we have 117" kits for 110's and have a "drop in" 120" in street and race form...if CVO's are to be considered anywhere near as being "special", maybe we could see a 124"?

Or just another 110". ;D

I hope it's still a 110 so I can still feel special :)

But, in a year or two I think it's inevitable. On paper, there are people who compare bikes X and Y. And that motor being bigger is a big decision. With Polaris at 106 and 111, I imagine Harley will make a jump of some sort.

96" kits for 88s before bumping everything up to a 103. Then 110 kits for 103s and now 117 kits for 110s. I'm guessing a 120 at least.

Going with the history of the CVO being 7cid bigger than standard, I'm guessing 110 for standard bikes and 117 for the CVO. I'm thinking the 117 bolt on is a "test" phase to see how things go. Then again, with the TC being 17-18 years old now, maybe another whole new power train is in the works...

If so I won't be a beta tester like I was on the '07 110", lol.  Been there, done that, didn't even get a t-shirt.   :nixweiss:

Guess that means you won't be opting for the new 117 bolt in kit any time soon.
