Gentle musings of a simple mind. Lust and 124"

Just dreaming a bit here, but you never know where it could end up.

2011 CVO RoadGlide Ultra. Currently undergoing rebore to +0.010". Already fitted a few modest mod's. Vance and Hines straight through header and Big Ovals. Beehive springs, non stock lifters and full compliment bearings, Power Commander. That's it really.

What would be the necessary modifications and approximate associated costs with fitting the lusted after 124" S&S motor.

What would be the advantages or disadvantages.

Tell it's winter can't you. But, comments appreciated.

You'll get from point A to point B quicker with a bigger engine, and lighter wallet.

SE 58mm Throttle Body, 5.3 Injectors, PowerVision (S&S supports the PV), AIM VPC should do it...

While not optimal, the pipes are ok...

We're about 7 months away from the 2017s being released.  Would you want to put that much money into a six year old bike?

Yes you are correct of course. If I spent the money it would cost to go to S&S on a trade trade up to a new model I would be better off all round. Just kinda disenchanted with the 110". But no doubt they will have improved the product by the next new model's release.

You beat me to the quip.  On the 110, I feel the same way.  Would hate for this to become the standard engine for non CVOs due to the many issues.
