Susan Welcome from the Tar Heel state! Susan there are a few options to lower. Shorter shocks will help but you loose suspension travel. Air suspension might work that way you can lower the bike when you stop. Or if you wan to throw a lot of money at it buy a FBI drop seat kit. It will lower the seat about 3 in. How do I know? Because I've done all 3.
