New Roadglide CVO vs old roadglide cvo
« on: February 03, 2016, 10:20:25 AM »

I've been thinking about trading my 2011 RD CVO for the new 2016 and was looking for input. Is there a noticeable difference in over performance and handling?

If 2011 is old then you may have a prototype Don  :huepfenlol2:

We forgot Brian. Those four or five year old bikes are the old ones. The first gen Road Glide are now the classics!

I haven't rode the 11 CVO, but I know the new model handles curves and corners exceptionally well. I could even tell a huge difference on from a regular 12 fltru compared the the regular 16 fltru.

Owned an 11 (Bertha) and moved to a 15 (Lucille). Much better all round IMHO. Sure some small issues which I would class as first world problems but overall a much better ride and hands down the best Harley I have owned or ridden. Looking forward to doing lots more miles on Lucille.

Plenty of discussion in other posts which are worth reading as DesertHog indicated.

Much respect to the earlier models and their pilots.  :2vrolijk_21:

Road my 09 SERG for six years and swore I'd never let her go, but I did and purchased a 16 SESG and have no regrets.  Got to believe the improvements made by HD will be welcomed by you.

I had a 09 SERG, put over 44k on it.  Traded it for a 12 SERG, put over 45K on it.  Traded it for a 15 SERGU, have 31K on it now.

I feel the 12 had the best suspension as I think HD air shock suck.  The 15 has the best front suspension.  With ohlins in the rear now, its by far the best handling RG I have had.

The motor is better than the earlier two road glides.  The head unit even with its issues is better than the earlier bikes.

Air or wind management is better on the 15 also.

Hoping for a 17 SERG to come out, as my 15 will have over 43K on it and time to trade.

Ditto for Dave's comments on all.

I upgraded Lucille's suspension from air (crap) on the rear to HD dial ups which work very nicely with the improved front end.
