I joined the Army Reserves at 17 years old.  I served 2 1/2 years and decided to go active duty in the Air Force.  I did 4 1/2 years active duty and got out after the 1st Gulf War.    Became a Police Officer in Cleveland, Oh (suburb) where I married and started a family.

After 9/11, with over 10 years out of the military, I re-enlisted into the Air Force Reserves and served an additional 3 years, half  of which I was called up to active duty!

I love the military and greatly appreciate all who serve and have served.  God Bless!!!

GO Army!  (Beat Navy! - maybe one of these days ...) ;D
5 years - Active Duty (Engineers, Combat Heavy)
21 years - Reserve (19E/Tank Commander, back to Engineers (no tracked vehicles in Hawaii, to Safety, to retirement after year in Afghanistan '04-'05)
Going on fifth year as DAC (Federal Service), Dept. of the Army Civilian.  0018 Safety & Occupational Health Specialist (OSHA).
Currently serving in Iraq w/25th ID, COB Speicher (named after a Great American/Navy Fighter Pilot), Tikrit (Where Saddam is buried).

26 and a wake-up!!! to get out of the Sand Box.
about 15 more years for my second retirement ...  Hope it goes as fast as my first retirement?  I want to just travel on the bike around the good ole US of A and live happily ever after ...  With the wife of course.

I see Army is winning the poll so far.  Army SAFE is Army STRONG ...  TROPIC LIGHTNING!

If the poll scored it correctly, the Navy would be winning.  After all the Marines are just a Department of the Navy....They boys department....

Easy goes it Sailor.... Just so happens that the toughest/bravest branch of the military (USMC) needed someone to chauffeur them around and we picked the Navy. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
